Module Outline
Module 7: Perception
Perception is the process of making sense of what we sense. Module 7 explains how we take the information our senses provide and interpret what it means. The module starts with how we organize the individual pieces of information from our senses into a whole.
Depth perception is discussed next. Both monocular (one eye) and binocular (two eyes) techniques are explained. How we are fooled into thinking motion exists when none is presented is detailed.
Module 7 concludes with detailing perceptual constancy, perceptual set, and various illusions.
