Focus on Recursive Writing
The Writer’s Loop leads students to think about and engage in writing as a recursive process.
As the authors put it in Chapter 3, "A recursive process refers to the way writers often loop back or revisit earlier work as we write." However, this aspect of the writing process can be difficult to teach, so The Writer's Loop weaves it into the very fabric of every chapter. Check out the detailed contents for Chapters 4 and 10 (at left) to see how the recursive nature of writing is infused throughout The Writer's Loop.
