The Spread of Christianity in the Sixteenth and Early Seventeenth Centuries
This document collection helps students understand the ways in which Christian teachings were communicated and modified by missionaries in various parts of the world in the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, as well as investigate how local people responded to Christian teachings and developed their own Christian ideas and practices. Students are guided through their analysis of the primary sources with an author-provided learning objective, central question, and historical context.
