Bookstore Information

      • Please include the purchase order number, contact name, bookstore/school information, ISBN number (or title string), and quantity and order by one of the following methods:

      • Once your item is in stock, the order will usually ship the same day or the next business day. If your item needs to be reprinted to fill your order, expect a delay of approximately seven days. For further assistance, please call us at 1-888-462-6651 or contact us using our contact form.

      • We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) and checks made payable to Hayden-McNeil, LLC. 

      • An invoice will be included with your shipment. You can also obtain a copy of your invoice for any received order by contacting customer service at 1-888-462-6651 or by using our contact form.

      • A few of our titles are available through most major resellers. However, most of our titles are published for specific universities and are only available to college bookstores that directly serve those students.

      • We offer UPS and FedEx as our prepaid small shipment carrier. Prepaid freight orders are shipped via best carrier available in regards to time and cost. If you prefer to be billed collect, please specify your desired carrier and service required.

      • Shipping rates vary depending on zone, product weight, and service requested. There are additional charges for liftgate, limited access, inside delivery, and address corrections (if the error is yours). Our customer service team will be happy to provide a rate quote.       • If the item is in stock, your order will typically ship within one to two business days. If the item is not yet published, our production timetable usually places new titles in our warehouse so that we are able to ship to you the week before classes start.       • Any physical orders that ship outside the U.S. are subject to any applicable customs fees, duties, or taxes and are independent of any shipping fees charged by Hayden-McNeil. For further assistance, please call us at 1-888-462-6651 or fill our our contact form.

      • Shipping claims must be presented in writing within 30 business days of receipt, and should include date received, carrier, copies of related shipping documents, and claim description.       • Enclose packing slip with shipment, giving:

        • Invoice number
        • Your account number
        • Date of purchase
        • Reason for return
        • Detailed list of contents-including quantity, ISBN and title

        Crediting of returns without this information will be delayed. All deductions in payments should reference actual credit memo number and be accompanied by a complete explanation, which will allow us to resolve the deduction in a timely manner.

      • Books must be in unmarked, saleable condition with no bookseller stickers added and with no Macmillan Learning or Bedford, Freeman & Worth stickers removed.

        Added Stickers. A book with any type of proprietary or secondary sticker or label applied (e.g., price or bar code stickers, rental or used stickers) will be considered as not being in saleable condition and will not be eligible for credit. These books will be returned to sender (for chains, the return will be to the central location) via a carrier of the sender’s choice at the expense of sender (the party seeking the return).

        SQR Code Stickers. Macmillan Learning and Bedford, Freeman & Worth add SQR code stickers to certain of our books for anti-piracy purposes. These stickers should not be removed. Books from which these SQR code stickers have been removed (even if the residue is removed) are not eligible for return or credit and will not be returned to sender.

        Counterfeits. If the book is deemed to be counterfeit, credit will not be issued and will not be returned. We reserve all of our rights with respect to counterfeit books.

      • Returns may be made within 12 months of the invoice date, unless otherwise authorized and except for out of print titles. Out of print titles will be eligible for return for up to 180 days after notification only. Returns on titles which have been out of print for more 180 days are not eligible for credit and will not be returned.

      • Credit memos should be used within one year from date of issuance.

      • You can find a list of all your active custom ISBNs in your Bookstore Portal.  If you need to obtain access to our portal, please call 888-462-6651 or contact us using our contact form.  We can also provide ISBN information over the phone.

      • We have implemented ISBN13. If your store is not yet equipped to handle ISBN13, please drop the prefix (978) and use the remaining 10-digit ISBN for your order.
