The feedback will often feature guidance on step-by-step problems, rather than solely focusing on the end answer, and select exercises also include video feedback, which models successful problem solving strategies relevant to the given exercise. After exhausting the exercise’s attempts, students can view a fully worked solution that balances arithmetic and explanation.

Achieve’s proprietary grading algorithm combines our homegrown parser and the computer algebra system, SymPy. It is programmed to accept every valid equivalent answer unless otherwise declared, like a simplified or factored form of the answer.
